Your preference of wood flooring color is highly individualized, depending on decor, goals, lifestyle, and needs. So come into our hardwood flooring company, where you will find an assortment of light, medium, and dark shades.

Dark floors will never go out of style

Mahogany, ebony, cherry, and the darker woods are sophisticated and elegant. Dark floors make the surfaces even more dramatic, bolder, and visually stunning. This is especially so when dark solid hardwood flooring is paired with contrasting colors.

Since these floors absorb light instead of reflecting it, they are less prone to fading. Many also tell us they command a higher sales price since the dark floors also tend to highlight grain patterns.

Dark hardwood floors will more easily show scratches, scuffs, and light-colored dirt or animal fur. Dark-colored dirt, however, can be well hidden!

Light floors: said to change the face of interior design

Light colors, like blond or greige, can either look light, bright, airy, or homey and rustic. Honey or copper-colored wood flooring is light enough to be airy and bright but still has rich tones and warmth. Whitewashed hardwood surfaces have a relaxed, casual beach-like aesthetic.

Generally, lighter colored hardwood floors lean into cooler tones, making them ideal compliments to blue and gray furnishings. They also hide scuffs, scratches, and light-colored dirt well.
